A child's room is a magical world. It is a refuge where they feel secure, where they have all their toys, and where they can enjoy their free time at home after a day at school. For all this, the room should have security and capacity.
Security, because you should feel at peace without worrying if they could have an accident in it, and capacity, because children need a lot of space. Space for dancing, jumping, playing, etc. And to achieve these two conditions, the organization of the room is fundamental.
To begin, we want to present a theory to you that could be very useful. Experts say that the decor of a child's room experiences two phases. The first phase is from 0 to 3 years. The second is from 3 to 11 years. In the first phase, the child does not have much of an opinion, but in the second, they do, because they are developing and it is good to decorate their room focusing on their hobbies.

For example, your child surely has a favorite color or a favorite character that is their faithful companion in all games. This can serve as a guide when it comes to prints on the walls, bedspreads or quilts.
Lighting in the room is important. During the day, if it is possible, try to get the natural light. At night, you can either use a central light, a ceiling lamp, that lights the whole room evenly. You can also place one on the wall, that has a smoother, softer light, which will help your child calm down and better prepare for sleep.
Recommendations to Keep in Mind
- Until you see that your child is more or less conscious of what is dangerous or not (usually after 6 years of age), avoid using floor or table lamp, as they can be dangerous with the plugs. Also be careful of the danger of outlets and use protective covers.
- Any piece of furniture you put in the room should have rounded corners, if possible. This will will avoid painful and even tragic bumps.
