Decorating the garden

Decorating the GardenDecorating and cultivating a garden is a joy that goes further than the simple act of making plants and flowers grow.  Working in your own garden is a delight and a cure for your health.  It stimulates well being in your body as you are working face to face with nature and connecting with it.  It is also very good physically as it allows you to exercise your body.

As we have tried to prove, decorating a garden is a pleasure in all senses, physical as well as mental.  Therefore, if you have a garden, you should take advantage of the opportunity to decorate it.  On top of being a haven of peace, the garden is an important decorative element in the house habitat.

The beginning is hard.  Sometimes you begin to wonder if you are doing it correctly or not.  But soon, flowers and plants will begin to grow and your uncertainty will be relieved.  To begin, you should choose the plants and flowers that you want to put in your garden.  You should first study the type of climate in your area and the plants that adapt to it.

Choose the plants depending on their resistance to the cold.  As you can see, it will be the weather changes in the area where you live that will determine to a great degree what plants will live perfectly throughout the year.

A good way to correctly know what plants grow well in your area is to consult with a professional gardener.  He can inform you of the species of plants that adapt well to the climate in which you find yourself and those that do not.  This is a good way to be sure of success in your planting.

It will also depend on the characteristics of your garden; the type of soil is as or more important than the weather.  Therefore, you should do a light study of the characteristics of your soil to determine what types of plants will grow adequately in your ground.

Once you know the strengths and weaknesses of your soil, you can proceed to decide what you want to plant or grow and where.  You should study the main problems that could arise for you and the possible solutions that you could develop. Here comes possibly the most complicated part of the process, because it is now that you start to decorate your garden.  It is recommended that you make a map of your garden and make a small representation of the colors on the map that you are going to give it depending on where you are going to grow.

We already told you it is a complicated step, because it is difficult to get an overall picture of the terrain.  To really get into it, you can use cardboard, wood chips or anything that resembles and could represent the vegetation you want to put in each place. You could always turn to the help of a landscaper who will design a picture-perfect garden, as he already knows exactly what will work in your soil and what will go better and how to take maximum advantage of its characteristics.

Of course, you can decorate your garden yourself without the outside help of professionals, but we will tell you that it is difficult to be successful on your first try.  As we already said, in a big area, it is complicated to get an overall vision of the whole distribution.

Finding your ideal garden is an empirical question, trial and error until you find exactly what you want for your space.  As advice, we'll tell you that, although there are a multitude of possibilities, it all depends on your imagination.  You should really keep in mind the stalks, shapes, colors and textures that each plant and flower has.
